Delusions of Grandeur
This little label out of the UK is releasing some outstanding music. Most of the artists on their roster are new to me. However, I'm liking everything I hear.
First up is 6th Borough Project. This one's a nice slow burner. I'm caning this all summer long.
6th Borough Project- How Can I Show You
Next up a piece from one of the labels more established artists, Manuel Tur. Ace!

No way back
SE62 have virtually come out of nowhere (Ukraine) to completely rock my world! Everything that I've heard from them is quality. They don't seem to have much in the form of releases yet, but from the little I've heard so far I'm eager to hear more. Check their Myspace page for more info. http://www.myspace.com/se62y
SE62- The Tape
Straight out of Germany (Where else, right?) Danilo Plessow better known to most around the world as Motor City Drum Ensemble is someone whose music I can buy before even listening to it. The man can do no wrong in my book. After his "Raw Cuts" releases, he has firmly placed himself among my favorite producers. The only thing I'm pissed about is that I moved to Brooklyn 2 months after he had played a gig here. Here's hoping he makes a comeback soon.

Madlib- Pyramids (Change)

A Tribe Called Quest- Same Ol Thing

Breaking Even
John Morales is someone who I recently became familiar with. Every now and then you accidentally stumble upon something that adds another piece to your musical puzzle. John Morales is another piece. If you don't own the M&M mixes on BBE Records, get your hands on a copy of it. I highly recommend buying a copy. Here are 2 of my favorite tracks from the album.
Universal Robot Band- Barely Breaking Even (Club Version)
Inner Life- Aint No Mountain High Enough (JM 4AM Mix Pt. 1)

Two gems for you. One, a Soulphiction edit of a manmadescience (which he's a part of) track and the other from Discreet Unit off Trus'me's Prime Numbers label. It's Saturday! Enjoy the weekend.
Manmadescience- Shadowchaser (SoulPhiction Edit)
Discreet Unit- Written In Our nature

After a winter that has seen me endure the coldest days I've experienced in my life, I'm sooo ready for the summer. Although, it's not saying much because before Brooklyn I was living in Los Angeles. :) When you're used to So Cal weather, anything under 50 is considered very cold. Anyway, here's a track from Rondenion that is featured in the video above, which I believe was shot in Croatia. No more snow!

Open Your Eyes
Brand new remix from Carl Craig of a DJ Hell track, U Can Dance. Which apparently features a cameo from Bryan Ferry of Roxy Music fame. Recommended.
Dj Hell Feat. Bryan Ferry- U Can Dance (Carl Craig Remix V. 2)
Also, a nice deep tune to end the day. Taken from Ewan Pearson's excellent "We Are Proud of Our Choices" Mix on Kompakt.
